Here is what we came up with for our Record-Journal twitter page.
The main color is our Record-Journal Red, blended with the blue of our MYRJ logo and black which represent the ink of a newspaper. We took our illustration of our building, located in the heart of downtown Meriden and applied that. We also snuck in a silhouette of a typewriter (remember those?).
This background was designed to fit in at least 72% of browsers.
We have a new employee at the Record-Journal (New Media Specialist, Mr. Alex Martin). He brings to us some fresh ideas and some fire to inject into our online projects. I am excited for this. The company is getting aggressive in social networking with our readers.
Upon our first meeting we talked about redoing some of the basic designs for our twitter page (http://twitter.com/#!/Record_Journal)… I am going to chat about the process and post some of the designs. Stay tuned.
We are also going to rework our facebook and twitter logo to be uniform. This logo will also need to translate to our print products as well.

I was interrupted for a brief moment to chat fantasy football. Always good to change up your thoughts now and then.
